AFC Bournemouth is a professional association football club based on the southern coast of England, in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England.  

 

Formed in 1899 as Boscombe, the club adopted their current name in 1971, and plays its home matches at Vitality Stadium.  The Cherries compete in the Premier League, the top football league in the world, where they have been for six of the past eight seasons.
